Classification of Horizontal CNC lathes
According to the functions, Horizontal CNC lathes can be divided into economic type CNC lathes, general lathes and CNC turning center.
1 Economic type CNC lathes
Economic type CNC lathes adopt stepping motor and single chip microcomputer and update feed system of general lathes. It has low cost but not high automation. Turning accuracy is not high,too. Economic type CNC lathes are suitable for turning rotational parts that has not high processing requirement.
2 General NC lathes
According to the requirements of turning requirement, specially designed and equipped with CNC system. Its CNC system is strong and automation is high. General NC lathes is used to process general rotational parts. This horizontal CNC lathe can simultaneously control two axes, x and z axes.
3 Horizontal CNC lathe machining centers
On the basis of common CNC lathe, increase C-axis and power head. Some advanced machines also have tool magazine, which can control X, Z, and C axes. linkage axis can be controlled (X, Z), (X, C), or (Z, C). With the addition of C-axis and milling power head, it has strong processing capability. In addition to turning, radial and axial milling,surface milling,hole drilling and other processing can also been processed.
